Firstly, I was charged $483 in advance of my stay and then another $340 - for 2 nights on check in . The day before my stay, A person from Mantra called me, asking why I was at the hotel - I told her, the dates on her end were wrong. I read out my confirmed dates. She said I would have to sort it out with booking.com - I told her no, I have the email confirmation, I do not have a contact point, that BC would want to fix the issue with mantra and that I’m sure she had a contact point she could utilise. I emailed mantra Collins with the details as requested but was still charged an extra $483 regardless. What else…well; . The floor is simply indescribable - large concrete balls under the carpet - see the photos. I’ve never ever seen anywhere, you could trip over on the carpet in a hotel room, if you had crutches took kids or the elderly were tgere, you would fall over…along with that, a down light was hanging out of roof, toilet seat broken and now offset to right, walls / cupboards dirty (see photos) and…frustratingly, there were no welcome books. So I couldn’t watch Austar etc. I asked both in person at reception and via email - how do I use the Austar service, as it was far from clear..the desk person said he’d be up in a few minutes, but he did not turn up, and I never received an answer to any emails I sent (over charge nor Austar).

Concierge / reception staff were very helpful, knowledgeable about the local area, and pleasant to deal with. One of the best experiences I've had in this respect. Room was clean, well maintained and a good size. However, it was not a great outlook from the room I had on Level 3 (view of a concrete wall of another building), and I could hear noisy air-conditioning equipment on the roof outside the room that clicked on and off all night. The noise wasn't bad enough to disturb my sleep, but it slightly detracted from the otherwise good experience. Bottle of wine provided on arrival as an Accor Plus member was a nice touch too.

The room was excellent and very clean. I was there on business and got in late. I was greeted very well by concierge and was pleasantly surprised when I got to the room to find a lovely full bottle of Tasmanian wine as well as local covalent fudge. Room was very well presented and tidy.

Nice Stay, unhappy about no meals for the evening.

The stay was nice and the staff were fine, but not happy that i could not get any food when arriving at the hotel, had to go else where to get a meal.
